'And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair; the whole moon became as blood'

And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood: And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, as the fig tree casteth its green figs when it is shaken by a great wind: And the heaven departed as a book folded up: and every mountain, and the islands were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and tribunes, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of mountains. (1)

Wow. Just when you think you're having a bad day . . .

Anyone who doesn't have his head in the sand or isn't in complete denial knows what's going on. Observing current world events is like sitting in a theatre, watching the movie version of Revelations.

The government-owned mainstream media of course, is silent. They've been told what to cover and not to cover, so they're busy distracting the country with false flags and other government-fabricated diversions to dumb down those who still pay attention to them.

But you can't ignore the Big Guy.

All the while that the New World Order peons are drooling over their power and the agenda that they "think" is going to unfold, God waits patiently. Those who believe that they are going to be lifted into the clouds to be spared from the tribulation wait impatiently (and naively). But just as the birth of a child starts out with minimal, almost unnoticeable contractions, we are seeing those birth pangs; God is at work and his plan is unfolding.

Revelations Chapter Six reveals as one of the signs of the Second Coming, a phenomenon that has unfailingly heralded historic events for the past 2,000 years. The four blood moons—or tetrads as they are commonly known—are a phenomenon resulting from a lunar eclipse wherein the moon takes on a red or "bloody" appearance.

The connection between these celestial happenings and significant moments in history is uncanny, if not downright creepy. Twice, in the 20th century the tetrad occurred: in 1948 when Israel became a nation, and in 1967 when Israel regained Jerusalem. Two consecutive blood moons occurred before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Mark Biltz (2), pastor and author, believes that the upcoming consecutive four blood moons are fulfillment of biblical prophecy. In a February 16th interview (3) with WND he stated that "The Jewish Talmud records that total lunar eclipses are indicators or omens for the nation of Israel.”

Shortly before the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, Biltz cites, there was a series of lunar eclipses.

Around eight months before the Temple was destroyed we find on 10/18/69 there was a partial lunar eclipse on the Feast of Sukkot. A total solar eclipse followed this on Nisan 1-3/30/70, the beginning of the religious year. Two weeks later there was a penumbral lunar eclipse on Passover on 4/14/70. An annular solar eclipse followed this on Rosh Hashanah on 9/23/70. Then another penumbral lunar eclipse on Sukkot on 10/8/70. (4)

The upcoming blood moons are once again set to occur on Jewish holy days: April 15, 2014 and September 28, 2015 both occur on the Jewish Feast of Passover (5); October 8, 2014 and April 4, 2015 are the Feast of Tabernacles (6).

"And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood." (6)

NASA predicts that a solar eclipse will take place March 20 of 2015 (7) (where the sun will be darkened), followed by a lunar eclipse (blood moon), April 4, 2015. (8) According to biblical prophecy, these signs suggest that the seven-year tribulation (9) will have already begun.

Many point to events taking place in world politics today that may usher in that tribulation. The Israeli peace treaty that John Kerry is working so hard to bring to fruition will involve the dividing up of Jerusalem.

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fall: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end." (10)

This verse in Daniel, Chapter 9 speaks of a covenant that smacks of that peace agreement. Those following biblical prophecy feel that the peace agreement will be signed, promising peace to Israel and the surrounding nations. After a period of three-and-a-half years, however, that agreement will be violated, the anti-Christ will show his face, and "it" will hit the fan.
Included in that agreement is the dividing of Jerusalem. Joel, Chapter Three is considered to be the Scripture prophesying that event:

For behold in those days, and in that time when I shall bring back the captivity of Juda and Jerusalem: I will gather together all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Josaphat: and I will plead with them there for my people, and for my inheritance Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and have parted my land. (11)

Verse 7 of that same chapter describes in length what God is going to do to those who dare to divide Jerusalem:

Behold, I will raise them up out of the place wherein you have sold them: and I will return your recompense upon your own heads. And I will sell your sons, and your daughters by the hands of the children of Juda, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far off, for the Lord hath spoken it. (12)

Lastly, God more or less tells them, "Go ahead; make my day!"

Proclaim ye this among the nations: prepare war, rouse up the strong: let them come, let all the men of war come up. Cut your ploughshares into swords, and your spades into spears. Let the weak say: I am strong. Break forth, and come, all ye nations, from round about, and gather yourselves together: there will the Lord cause all thy strong ones to fall down. Let them arise, and let the nations come up into the valley of Josaphat: for there I will sit to judge all nations round about. (13)

It is believed that immediately after the peace treaty is signed (within 24 hours), that God will divide the United States in half by means of a massive explosion of the New Madrid fault. (14)

That, in itself, requires a column all its own, but the Internet is replete with videos and news articles in that regard.

So are the four blood moons and the lunar eclipse harbingers for the beginning of the end? Is there a connection between efforts to sign the peace treaty in April and the appearance of the first blood moon on April 15?

Regardless of whether or not these events begin to unfold during that time, Scripture has made it blatantly clear that ya' just don't mess with Israel:

In that day shall the Lord protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he that hath offended among them in that day shall be as David: and the house of David, as that of God, as an angel of the Lord in their sight. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace, and of prayers: and they shall look upon me, whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him as one mourneth for an only son, and they shall grieve over him, as the manner is to grieve for the death of the firstborn.
