February 25 - Ever wonder what it would feel like to hold an Oscar and pose for pictures with it just like the Hollywood stars? Now you can pretend you're an Oscar winner at the "Meet the Oscars" exhibit which opens in New York and Chicago today.
This free exhibit is sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and travels every year to different cities in the weeks leading up to the main event, the Academy Awards. At the exhibit, you can pose and take pictures with a real Oscar statuette. The exhibit also features a display of Oscars in various stages of completion.

At the "Meet the Oscars, New York" exhibit held at The Shops at Columbus Circle at Time Warner Center, see the miniature statuette that actress Judy Garland received for her screen performance as a juvenile in 1939. At the "Meet the Oscars, Chicago" exhibit held at The Shops at North Bridge on Michigan Avenue, see the Oscar statuette that Bette Davis won for her role in “Jezebel” (1939). The exhibits also feature the actual Best Actor and Best Actress Oscars to be presented at this year's awards ceremony.
Both exhibits run through Sunday, March 7, the day of the 82nd annual Academy Awards to be broadcast live from Hollywood. For more information, visit the Academy Awards official website.
