Apple aired an advertisement that was a pretty sweet take on the iPad during the Oscars Sunday night. The ad was fun, and added to the Hollywood experience of the glamorous event. At first glance the commercial break seemed like a continuation of the show. Apple reminded filmmakers why they're obsessed with its' products. Apple also reminded the world why movie making is magical in a matter of a few seconds.
The 2013 Academy Awards were cool because even the advertisements added to the theme of the widely televised event. Much like the Superbowl, The Oscars have become a cultural event, whether you like movies and celebrities or not. Office pools and countless movie blogs following the race to the filmmakers top are a testament to society's star struck obsession. The Oscars are the centerpiece of the entertainment industry, which takes root in Hollywood, California. Kudos to Apple for recognizing so many poignant features of an iconic event!
