After 30 days and having to endure a lot of Yahoo!'s, there is finally a winner.
Marissa Mayer the CEO of Yahoo described in detail in her Tumblr post what went into the making of the new logo. There are no straight lines because the human form is not made of straight lines. It is sans serif. They kept the yodel feel with the O's. For you color geeks the purple is Pantone Violet C.
There was a favorite of the logos displayed for the last month. According to different surveys, the favorite was Day 10. Some thought it was the closest to the original. The least favorites were days 4 and 6.
