It was a spectacular evening at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards Sunday as actors and directors from television and film were honored. Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, the ceremony known as “Hollywood's biggest party”, was hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who did a fabulous job entertaining the star-studded room crowd along with a great array of presenters that included: Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey, Jessica Chastain, Reese Witherspoon, Diane Keaton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Emma Thompson.
"12 Years a Slave” and “America Hustle” won the big movie prizes; while Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence all took home the top acting honors.
As always, the show aired on NBC-the network that continued on with its celebrity extravaganza with an after-party hosted by television queens Kerry Washington (“Scandal”), Sofia Vergara (“Modern Family”), and Hayden Panettiere (“Nashville”). Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Chastain and stars from ABC's “Revenge” and NBC's newest shows “Sean Saves the World” and “Crisis” were also spotted at the NBC Universal/E!/Focus Features post-Globes celebration.
All in all, both on and off-screen it was an entertaining night celebrating the best in film and television of 2013!
