There has been an ongoing friendly competition between The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo regarding who the champion will be of Cheyenne's 1st Annual Cinch Rodeo Shootout scheduled for July 18 at 12:15 p.m. http://www.cfdrodeo.com/event/cinch-r...

8 CHAMPIONS -- 5 EVENTS -- ONE AFTERNOON

Earlier in 2014, the Cheyenne Frontier Days team bested 7 other premier rodeo teams during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo's 1st annual Fort Worth Super Shootout Rodeo to take home the championship trophy. Feeling confident they would again be victorious come July 18 during their event, Cheyenne decided to post a video via social media that staked their claim. AND the challenge was born.

After a friendly rebuttal, staff members at the FWSSR decided that an organized challenge was in need. Through a coordinated effort, competitors and challengers were gathered to share a word with Cheyenne. Now everyone can't wait to attend the Cinch Rodeo Shootout, July 18th at 12:15 p.m. during the "Daddy of 'em All" in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This thing is going to be legendary!

Cheyenne Cinch Rodeo Shootout Information:

The Cinch Rodeo Shootout hosted by Cheyenne Frontier Days showcases the eight most prestigious North American rodeos and each of their best athletes.

This one-day invitational style tournament of champions pits the top cowboys and cowgirls in the world against each other in five events: Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Bronc Riding and Steer Wrestling. Up for grabs is over $70,000 in prize money. The tournament moves forward with two rounds: the initial 8 competitors, followed by a championship round of 4. By the end of the afternoon, one champion will be crowned for each event.

The best part... YOU decide the championship pairings. Those at the show will have access to our text message voting system. You'll be able to decide which cowboys ride which bulls, and much more. This has never been done before in the sport of rodeo. The first 3,000 ticket buyers will receive a free t-shirt to commemorate the first ever Cinch Rodeo Shootout at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
The fate of our competitors -- and the prize money -- rests in the hands of the fans.
