And, she waits...

Monmouth County, NJ

Back in June, I shared Diamond's story with my German shepherd readers. The story of a gorgeous sable German shepherd who was rescued from an overcrowded animal control facility, only to face a horrifying attack inside of a boarding kennel.

Diamond survived her ordeal, but not without disfiguring damage - Diamond lost one of her gorgeous shepherd ears.

But Diamond is still a beautiful dog - she just looks a bit different.

Diamond has her own Facebook page with 1500 followers, but it hasn't been enough to help her find a new home. Is it because there are so many "perfect" dogs available for adoption, that an imperfect one gets passed by?

It could be.

Or, it could be in light of the "best as only dog" designation that has been given to Diamond. Since the time of her attack in the boarding kennel (by another dog), she dislikes other dogs getting into her face.

Shared from her current foster home,

My foster mom wanted me to tell everyone what a great dog i am! She said I am perfect in the house and actually the best behaved out of all 4 dogs!( They keep me separated from their 3 dogs) I don't make a peep all day and am just a perfect girl! Even though I should be placed as the only dog please don't think I am dog aggressive. I am not crazy reactive with other dogs I just do not like them close in my face.

There must be just one person out there who loves German shepherds.

One person who perhaps recently lost their companion and they are looking for another loyal friend to stand by their side.

Please help share Diamond's story - she is in need of a new home, quickly.

Unfortunately, her current foster family is facing a medical crisis and Diamond needs to go. Nobody wants this precious dog to be placed back into a boarding kennel.

Can you imagine the stress for Diamond if she had to return? Back to the same environment where she was alone and brutally attacked?

Please help prevent that from happening - Diamond has been through enough - more than she ever should have had to go through in the first place.
