Ron Burgundy is about to face off with Han Solo. On Monday, March 4 Comingsoon.net reported that actor Harrison Ford has signed on for the upcoming comedy film "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" which is scheduled to release in theaters this winter. Ford will play the part of a well known news anchor. The film is the follow up to the widely successful film "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" which came out in 2004.
Ford played a similar role in the news comedy "Morning Glory" in 2010. Ford joins actors James Marsden, Kristen Wiig, Meagan Good and Dylan Baker for the "Anchorman" sequel, which also stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, and David Koechner.
Directed by Adam McKay, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" is expected to release in theaters on December 20, 2013. The Paramount Pictures film will begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia in the coming weeks. Check out the official website for more information about the film and watch the teaser trailer.
