Anchor falls for Howard Stern prank call on Chris Dorner shootout

A Howard Stern fan, Captain Janks, felt he found the perfect opportunity to prank call KCBS-TV and pretend to be a California State Fish and Game ranger at the scene of the Chris Dorner shoot out. According to OC Weekly on Feb. 12, the caller claimed to be Mike Taugher and was giving a recap of the events leading to the shootout.

Captain Janks is a L.A. based Howard Stern fan who has been prank calling news stations for almost twenty years. Janks convinced the station to put him on the air as Mike Taugher.

Janks went on to tell the newscaster that Ronnie the Limo Driver shot Dorner after getting in a “fightout” between game wardens and Dorner. He also stated that Ronnie the Limo Driver was on the way to a block party. The anchor continues to engage the caller until Janks reveals the it was all a big joke. Janks even went as far as to call her a “dumb**s.”

"You know, you're a real dumb**s! ..."

"...You still don't know this was a prank ...?"

Captain Janks was quickly yanked off the air after it was made clear it was a joke. Do you think he is going to get a lot of bad feedback for this prank call? Sound off in comments below.
