An anchor is accused of choking his wife in Connecticut. The anchor is Rob Morrison, who has been accused of domestic violence stemming from events over the weekend. According to a report from The Associated Press Monday night (Feb. 18), Morrison faces charges of strangulation, threatening and disorderly conduct.
The report states that Morrison had the police called on him after allegedly fighting with his wife and choking her. It is even reported that he continued to threaten her even after the police had arrived. That last aspect of the case could really hurt him when he appears in front of a judge to face the charges.
Morrison has already posted a $100,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday (Feb. 19) to deal with what took place at his house. He does appear to have been slightly injured in the reported fight with his wife, as in police mug shot of Morrison there looks to be a bloody cut on the bridge of his nose as well as a bruise on his swollen bottom lip.
Rob Morrison, the anchor accused of choking his wife, reportedly works for WCBS-TV. That alone shows the importance of Morrison having a good public image and a domestic violence charge won't help that. His attorney also released a statement already, saying that "the Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated."
