Rockstar Games is expected to announce Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC in the near future, but some analyst are also expecting the company to announce GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One along the PC reveal. According to a report by VG247 from Jan. 27, Baird Equity Research expects Rockstar Games to release GTA 5 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2014.

According to a report released by Baird Equity Research, the firm anticipates Take-Two to make important announcements in 2014 in order to meet shareholder expectations for the next financial year. Analyst Colin Sebastian expects Take Two to bring GTA 5 to other platforms, primarily PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and release the next Red Dead title over the next year. Find Sebastian’s comment on GTA 5 releasing for PS4 and Xbox One below:

We expect product announcements over the next year such as extending GTA V to other platforms (e.g., PC, next-gen consoles), the next Red Dead, etc., to help improve revenue and earnings visibility. In addition, the company has significant potential to grow digital/online revenues, which should help improve gross margins and add visibility to growth.

As for Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC, Sebastian feels that the title will be released in 2013 based on the Amazon product listing and that such a release would help the Take Two hit their fiscal year targets. Find his full GTA 5 PC release explanation below

We expect PC version of GTA V in 2014. Recently, Amazon.com posted a product listing for a PC-version of the company’s blockbuster franchise Grand Theft Auto V (GTA). While a PC version would not be a big surprise, this indirect confirmation of the game helps to provide some added visibility to consensus F2015 (Mar) estimates.

In addition to releasing GTA 5 on other platforms, the analyst firm believes Rockstar will announce and release a new Red Dead Redemption title in 2014. Red Dead Redemption was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010. Find Sebastian’s reasoning for a new Red Dead title below:

In fact, we have previously published that GTA-extensions are in the development pipeline, and likely needed for the company to hit FY targets. We also believe the next Red Dead game is in the works potentially for a 2014 launch.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently available for PS3 and Xbox 360. The title has sold more than 29 million copies worldwide since the title released in Sept. 2013.
