Here is my fifth of 10 previews and predictions on the SEC bowl games in college football this season including the BCS National Championship.

Capital One Bowl
#9 South Carolina (10-2) vs. #19 Wisconsin (9-3)
Jan. 1 / 1 p.m. / ABC
Florida Citrus Bowl (65,438) / Orlando, Fla.
Series History: First Meeting
VegasInsider Point Spread: Wisconsin -1 ½

Vinny’s Vibe: I love this game. This game isn’t being discussed enough. Wisconsin, quietly, is great in more team statistical categories than almost anyone else in the country, short of Florida State. What Wisconsin is known for, and is best at, is running the football. The Badgers have a fantastic trio of running backs led by Melvin Gordon and James White. They can run tough between the tackles and can also get to the outside. South Carolina is seeking its third consecutive 11-win season after recording its first in 2011. SC has won 14-straight against non-SEC teams. Jadeveon Clowney will draw the most attention in the game, but DT Kelcy Quarles and the rest of the front-seven have to play well versus the run. The Gamecocks will be more balanced on offense. I think Mike Davis and Connor Shaw will have enough success on the ground to allow Shaw to make plays in the passing game that the Badgers won’t be able to match.

South Carolina 27 Wisconsin 26
