Here is my first of 10 previews and predictions on the SEC bowl games in college football this season including the BCS National Championship.
My season record picking games this year is 96-18 (84%).
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl
Ole Miss (7-5) vs. Georgia Tech (7-5)
Dec. 30 / 3:15 p.m. / ESPN
LP Field (69,143) / Nashville, Tenn.
Series History: Georgia Tech leads, 2-1
Last Meeting: Ole Miss, 41-18 (1971 Peach Bowl)
VegasInsider Point Spread: Ole Miss -3
Vinny’s Vibe: The Yellow Jackets finished at .500 or better in conference play for the 19th consecutive season to extend the nation’s longest streak. GT’s triple option rushing attack is 6th in the country in yards (311.7). Ole Miss is balanced on offense. How good Bo Wallace and Barry Brunetti are will go a long way in determining this game. If they can stay away from the bad play, Ole Miss should win. The Rebels have more talent and speed. Look for a big day from true freshman stud WR for OM Laquon Treadwell. Critical GT turnovers will do the Yellow Jackets in.
Ole Miss 37 Georgia Tech 20
