The Anaheim Ducks beat the LA Kings for the second game in a row on Jan. 25. It was a tough game to watch for Los Angeles fans as it took place at Dodgers Stadium for the 2014 Stadium Series. The Ducks held the Kings to a 3-0 shutout, which left Kings fans disappointed for the second time in three days.
The Ducks made its first goal early on in the game. In the third minute, Corey Perry (assisted by Ryan Getzlaf) made a wrist shot to start of the game. It was a great goal and an obvious confident boost for the Ducks; It was already somewhat confident going in, because it beat the Kings at the Honda Center in the previous game.
A few minutes later in the first period Matt Beleskey made a goal (assisted by Nick Bonino, Teemu Selanne). Ducks fans were already smelling a victory as the Kings just could not make a shot to save itself. The Kings have just not been playing its best; this isn't the side of the team that fans were hoping to see that night.
To add insult to injury, in the third period the Ducks made one final goal. Andrew Cogliano (assisted by Kyle Palmieri) made a wrist shot to put the Ducks up 3-0. Anaheim was truly victorious in this great defeat over Los Angeles. The Kings are 1-2-0 against the Ducks so far this season. It'll face the Ducks again on Mar. 15 at Staples Center.
