Dear Terry Bruce, Tucker Carlson and Fox "News",
As a Pagan, I take your insults very seriously and as professionals, you should be ashamed of yourselves for shoddy and inacurate reporting. I am sure that by now you have learned the gregarious misrepresentation of the so called "fact" that there are "not many" Wiccans and Pagans. The truth is that yes, there are many of us throughout the world. By now I am sure that you are aware of that. You should be embarrased by your carelessness and misrepresentation of the Pagan faith.
As for the idea that we have the most holidays and that this is just an "excuse" to shirk our responsibilties, hmmmmmm let's compare and maybe enlighten. First of all there is Christmas which was stolen by Christians from the Pagan holiday Yule. We celebrate just the one day while Christians close schools for as many as three weeks. Ostara - Christians know it as Easter (yes, that was ours too) - is just one more day where Christians have an excuse for another week off. Many Christians celebrate Halloween - or Samhain - as an excuse to dress up and get candy. Pagans use this holiday celebrate the dead. I find that quite hypocritical, but par for the course. Paganism is one of the oldest religions on this earth, yet Christianity has stolen and tweaked many of our sacred days for their own and claim these holidays involve Jesus' birthday and rise from the dead. Fact is Easter and Christmas are not these things. Christianity lays claim to many things that aren't theirs and never were. And these are just the tip of the iceberg of days where people get the day off. Take today - Presidents Day - or Labor Day, etc. the list goes on and on.
We do not Christian bash or push our beliefs on anyone, and quite frankly most of wish just to be left alone rather then being told we are going to "hell", worship Satan or kill babies. I mean, really, get with program and actually research the facts instead of believing the bull. There is a reason Christians are compared to flocks of sheep.
Finally, I for one have never played dungeons and dragons nor am I a "middle-aged, twice divorced woman that burns alot of incense". yes, I am 46 but have been a Pagan my whole life and I - along with many others - are angered by these stereotypes. You both should be fired, but since it is Fox news I'm not very hopefull. Do your research before your insert your foot in your mouth once again. The reporting on Fox news has been a joke to many and here is just one more reason.
Shame on you,
Lady Bastet, proud to be a Pagan
