Focusing on the East Nashville Community, STC has dedicated itself to theatre, music and arts education since 2005. With a rich global outlook, Street Theatre produces terrific, affordable shows year-round.
The company's community focus extends throughout all their activities, including special events such as "Talk Back Nights" where the audience is invited to discuss the production after the show and "Starving Artist Nights" which are offered on a pay-as-you-can basis. The company is also working to procure and renovate a building in East Nashville, to which end it is currently accepting donations via a Bricks and Mortar Campaign.
In addition the these community services, STC also offers lessons and workshops, including "Singing for the Actor", "Acting One-on-One" and "Music Theory". Several instructors are available to teach and tutor children and adults.
The popular plays chosen by STC in the past include Beauty and the Beast, The Wiz, How to Eat Like a Child and Schoolhouse Rock Live.
