Please introduce yourself to the readers:
My name is Fanny Rosen, an actress, originally from Sweden but moved to Los Angeles in 2011 to further my acting career.
How and when did you first get into performing?
When I was 10 years old I auditioned for a theatre group called "Rampljus" and was accepted. I have loved acting ever since. When I was 16 I auditioned for a performing arts high school ( with the Mayors Dance and Theatre) and after being accepted I just kept continuing with acting whenever I could.
Who were some of your biggest inspirations growing up?
I can't really remember who I admired when I was 10 but later on some of my biggest inspirations were Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes.
What kind have training have you done?
Besides from the training I had in high school, I also attended the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre - a two year conservatory in Los Angeles.
What has been your favorite role to play so far and why?
My favorite role to play so far... wow that's hard. Well the most challenging part has definitely been "Bella" from Lost in Yonkers. Digging into the mind of the character was a challenge to say the least. Also working on the accent and just to get the period of the play took a lot of hard work but was both rewarding and a lot of fun.
What projects do you have coming up?
Right now I'm working on Shakespeare´s Macbeth (Lady Macbeth). I really enjoy doing Shakespeare, and I'm looking forward to taking on such a powerful part.
Who would be your ideal co-star and why?
My ideal co-star would be without a doubt, Ralph Fiennes. I have admired his work for such a long time and he is my biggest inspiration. To work alongside such a genius would be a dream come true.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans are just to keep working hard, staying focused on the art and see what the future holds.
What is your advice to other aspiring artists?
My advice is not to give up. It takes patience to be in this business. Just work hard and do what ever you can everyday to get closer to your goals, step by step.
