An interpretation of the 'Iron Man 3' trailer with new footage

According to Wired on March 20, Marvel's "Iron Man 3" recent teaser seems to reveal additional footage that gives confusions to fans. Fans could only interpret so much from the trailer, so it leave a lot of people guessing.

Stark as he sees himself as an eye witness to his own demise

For instance, in a scene where additional footage shows Stark watching his TV and him being on the news in that scene, there reveals a new ticker stating, "Stark Issues Threat". It looks like The Mandarin is on Stark's television screen and then he sees himself being shot at by missiles by the helicopters outside his mansion.

But what kind of context can "Stark issues threat" can be taken in this case? Could have this been a preemptive strike against him by Mandarin considering that Stark did mention that "This is good old fashioned revenge!" Thus, the Ten Rings terrorist leader could have action immediately as a reactionary measure.

Aldrich Killian not like the "Iron Man" comic book

Also, Aldrich Killian, as played by Guy Pearce, is displayed in the teaser as an advocate of the Extremis project as he enters the lab surrounded by allies which contradicts his treachery in breaching the Extremis virus to other terrorist organizations.

It appears that The Mandarin might have been the replacement of Killian in the Marvel cinematic universe as the main villain, but one could only speculate because the teaser reveals only so much.

Find out when "Iron Man 3" releases on May 3.
