While fans of "The Walking Dead" are wasting away from withdrawal during the show's mid-season break, AMC is doing whatever it can to keep us all frantic for more. And today, that's in the form of a new poster advertising the return of "The Walking Dead" season three from its brief winter hiatus.
Feast your eyes upon the epic poster for the second half of "The Walking Dead" season three.
The poster features Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the Governor (David Morrissey) with the rather ominous caption "An eye for an eye."
"An eye for an eye" could simply be referring to the fact that there is now a vendetta to be settled between the two camps of survivors at Woodbury and the prison. We all know revenge is coming, and the stakes are high. But on "The Walking Dead," when a body part is threatened, it's really not out of line to take things literally.
The Governor lost his eye courtesy of a brutal fight with Michonne in the mid-season finale back in December, and his grimy eyepatch features prominently in the poster. We can also see only one of Rick's eyes in the poster. Are we reading too much into this? We think not.
Tune in this February 10th for the triumphant return of "The Walking Dead."
