Currently, America is being bombarded with nonsense about the Fiscal Cliff and the Debt Ceiling. Since the "Fiscal Cliff" has manifested itself, the result has been an increased tax structure and moderate cuts across the board. Ironically, these Fiscal Cliff cuts will only go against the baseline budgets, so they will not actually be cuts -- only decreases in the increased spending for next year. And, of course the tax increases have been and will continue to be devastating, especially to the middle class...
Unfortunately, no additional evidence is required to illustrate the precarious position America finds itself in. At this time, a former adversary of America finds itself in a much different fiscal position. After two decades of existence the Russian Federation finds itself on the opposite side of a fiscal surplus and is in a great position to improve their well-being as a nation. This recent model of success should serve as a new template for America. Ironically, it would more valuable at this time to listen to President Putin address his Federal Assembly (Congress) than Dear President, Barack Hussein Obama addressing the American congress. President Putin understands how national economies work and are interconnected unlike President Obama.
An analysis of Putin's address to the Federal Assembly illustrates the Russian advantages and challenges ahead. These are directly related to current Russian Federation philosophy, economic policies including taxation, and their legal institutions. Of course, the latter will have more reforms required than current benefits; however, the Federal Assembly and Putin are aware of the legal reforms necessary to bolster success.
At this moment, America is choosing to increase government and has added a third entitlement, the entitlement to dwarf them all – Obamacare. As it will be presented, the Russian Federation has fewer teachers, roads, and bridges; but, somehow they are still surviving while turning a national surplus. Perhaps, it is because the Russian Federation has less nonsense, since they have been forced to deal with past issues by nations like the "Former America."
