An Evening with Ellis Paul

Ready for action!
Bob Huebsch

Ellis Paul created a folk renaissance in Boston with his riveting songwriting and relaxed presence. Not surprisingly, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist also garnered 14 highly coveted Music Awards there. His 14 recordings include: a heartfelt homage to his hero, the late Woody Guthrie; a celebration of American history makers and, of course, universally compelling ballads peppered with humor, hope and humanity. In a nutshell, as one of his most beloved songs spells out, 'The World Ain't Slowing Down' for Ellis Paul, and his ambitious touring schedule underscores that fact.

But besides his impressive list of studio recordings, Paul boasts a live concert DVD, a litany of soundtracks for popular films like: 'Me, Myself & Irene' and 'Shallow Hal' and countless TV scores. As a performer with a double decade of experience and a constantly growing repertoire, he has attracted top line artists. Paul has appeared onstage with Pete Seeger, John Mayer, Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens and too many other legends to list.
