An early Winter
No one knows exactly why Winter looks so sad and shut down. She arrived at PetSense in Albany Georgia a few weeks ago as part of the stores efforts to find forever homes for cats that are homeless. Antoinette Partain , mom of store manager Gary Watson, comes by every morning to care for the kitties and love on them. Winter is slowly warming up to her.
Winter is only one of many cats and dogs that will be hanging out at the store on September 7th and 8th as part of Petsense ForeverHome 2013 National Adoption Week-end. Local partners including Terrell County Humane Society, Albany Humane Society, Best Friends Humane Society of Worth County and Lee County Humane Society will be there with an assortment of furry friends. The goal is to find homes for one thousand cats and dogs across the country!
There will be games, a bake sale, fashion shows, a raffle, two dollar nail trims and more!
Last year, the Albany event connected twelve pets with their new parents and the store is hoping to break that record this year. Every pet adopted will go home with a “goodie bag” worth over one hundred dollars. There will be dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, color and personality. Come on out and find your new best friend!
