Friday was an amazingly beautiful day! After a low at Philadelphia International Airport of 63(50s in the suburbs) we reached 82 shortly before 4pm with sunshine and some fair weather cumulus clouds in the afternoon. There was a light northerly breeze and although we were roughly five degrees below average for the high and low, who cares? It's a nice feeling of late August and early September.
Overnight lows will be in the lower 60s in Center City(50s once again in the suburbs) with a clear sky and then Saturday shall be sun-filled with some fair weather cumulus clouds in the afternoon with highs in the lower 80s. There will be a nice refreshing northerly wind, but along the shore there will be a sea breeze so it will be in the 70s across the beaches. After overnight lows on either side of 60 the same will go for Sunday, but just a touch warmer with highs approaching the middle 80s.
High pressure just continues to situate itself across the Northeast so on Monday it will be in the lower 80s with a more easterly wind as there will be a "changing of the guard" with a newer high pressure area pushing in from the north and we'll be on the easterly side of it. It's not until Tuesday when we'll get into a southerly flow ahead of a cold front. Highs will be in the middle 80s with increasing clouds in the afternoon, but showers and thunderstorms shall hold off until the late evening.
Overnight Tuesday lows will be in the upper 60s with continued showers and thunderstorms while Wednesday morning showers and thunderstorms shall come to an end as the frontal boundary pushes through with highs in the middle and upper 80s before falling by sunset.
