Sunshine gave way to fair weather cumulus clouds in the afternoon as we reached our convective temperature(the estimated temperature that the surface must warm to for clouds to develop); highs reached 77 at Philly International shortly before 4pm after a low of 60 this morning.
Overnight it will be clear with lows in the upper 50s and this will lead to a sun-filled Saturday with highs in the lower 80s. High pressure is just sitting right on top of us so there will be a light variable wind, but if you head down the shore it will be in the middle 70s thanks to a sea breeze in the afternoon. Come Sunday we'll be closer to the middle 80s with sunshine giving way to high clouds in the afternoon ahead of a cold front(but we stay dry until the late overnight).
Back to work and school on Monday we'll have showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 70s; another area of low pressure will ride along this front so we stay mostly cloudy overnight with lows in the lower 60s while we run another chance of rain Tuesday with highs in the middle 70s.
Wednesday's dry with highs back into the lower 80s, but another system will work through overnight into Thursday with another shot of showers and thunderstorms.
