An Apocryphal Liberty: Unveiling Or Unfettering In The Mideast?

As we view Egypt and a host of other Regimes scattered across the mideast explode, many of we onlookers are exhilarated to see people from all walks taking to the streets and demanding reform in Country after Country.  None of the experts seemed to have seen it coming.  In hindsight, we can see that the tinderbox prematurely erupted in Iran back in 2009.  The Iranian riots were successfully put down by the Islamic Authoritarian Regime there with the US, in that case, remaining relatively quiet.  However, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Algeria and Jordan, among others, either have seen or most likely will see tremendous changes in their Governments to follow.  It's the nature of the change that now has many worried.

Some have speculated that the Muslim Brotherhood, which is an organization that has extensive terrorism roots, will make a powerplay for control.  Others have stated that the uprising in Egypt, which is the largest and most powerful of these Arab countries, is a popular movement which will ultimately lead to a secularly based Democracy espousing a freedom of religion State.  No one knows for certain how this will ultimately play out.  For the White House, what started as an effort which was praised by both sides has now turned into a question mark.

Some have criticized Obama's having interjected himself into the mix as interfering too much in order to ouster Mubarak.  Certain other nations were understandably shocked that Obama would throw yet another one of our allies under the bus in what they called a betrayal by an ally in Obama which left them stating that America could no longer be trusted.

The Real Dangers of A Caliphate

What has others concerned is the possibility of what this may invariably lead to in the Arab World.  Some have speculated that we could actually be seeing the rise of a confederation of Muslim nations, which could lead to an Islamic Caliphate and bode extremely ill for Israel as well as the entire area. A Caliphate could encompass an array of predominately Islamic nations to drive out individual liberties, as well as the freedom to practice self-determination, being what they are even currently.  A Caliphate would, undoubtably, set up the laws of Shariah, which would result in a Monster Talibanic State the likes of which the modern world could only shudder in daunted dismay.

The Liberals and many in the media dimly dismiss this idea as preposterous, illegitimate and crazy, the ravings of lunatics at best.  However, those among us who diligently study history are giving these events, which first appeared as the budding of liberty in the mideast, a rather jaundiced second look as events progress.

There is one rather chilling detail that has many evangelicals in the world of Christendom whispering apocalypse and the end of days.  They point to one particular verse of the Holy Bible in Isaiah which states the following:

The burden against Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom. The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers. And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand of a cruel master, And a fierce king will rule over them,” Says the Lord, the LORD of hosts. (Isaiah 19:1-4, nkjv)

Others point to the quatrains of Nostradamus and his dire prediction:

3.60 Throughout All Asia Great Conscription...Blood Flows Through Absolution

Preface these passages with the long sought for and found link between Islamic Socialism and modern day liberalism and we can begin to see why the Liberals, the White House and the media in general have for so long defended Islamists, despite a notably hyper-violent, anti-humanist bent.

There is one other thing that struck either wonder or dismay, if not both, in those whose studies extends across all lines of historical and prophetical contexts.  On February the sixth, 2011, in the shadow of extreme upheaval in the Mideast, several news organizations reported what amounted to an amazing and inexplicable light show directly over the the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.  No one can explain precisely what they saw, only that it was "highly unusual" and it was apparently caught on video by four separate and unrelated cameras. Was it real or was it simply a grand fake? multiple media networks ran the story along with the video which requires a certain amoutn of eyebrow raising.

Granted, many will discount these events as hoaxes etc., and they could, indeed, be correct. Yet those who remain both thoughtful and mindful of the various historical quatrains and prophetic texts will take note, undoubtably.  One but needs to dig into the various ancient texts to understand the possible meanings at play. For example, and even more recently, President Ahmadinejad of Iran spoke at a festival touting the soon to emerge twelfth Imam along with the resulting mayhem prophecied to ensue. All in all, with the spreading of discord occurring all over the globe, but even here, it's enough to raise the hackles of even the most staid. However, nor is it that we can discount the fact that some might use these events falsely under religious pretexts in a manner of herding sheep, so to speak.

But, In the light of all of these events rapidly unfolding we must also thoughfully muse over those certain things that we simply can't know for a certitude. Maintaining an understanding that the world, within its essence, defies complete explanation should allow for a certain wonder. Most especially, in the context of those things yet undiscovered and more often than not disdained by many.
