An afternoon at Earl's

After doing some early afternoon shopping with my wife at Dadeland mall we checked out the new dining options upstairs. We came upon Earl’s a cavernous space with plenty of booths and a couple of comfortable bars to sit at. There was a small wait for a table so we chose the bar to sit out. The World Cup was on several large screen TVs. Upon sitting the friendly bartender came over to hand us menus and explain the drink specials. Since it was Wednesday all craft beers were only $3. With 10 different craft beers to choose in I had three different IPAs that they offered. Funky Buddha, Dogfish Head and Dale’s IPA’s were all delicious. My wife had a Maduro Brown Ale by Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing. They also featured locally brewed Wynwood’s Blond Ale.
Between drinking my beers and watching the Argentina-Nigeria match I scanned the wine list. All of the wines by the glass come from a draft wine system much like a draft beer system. They offer 6 oz. and 9 oz. pours. They also offer some nice bottle of wine at very reasonable prices. The only thing I found wrong about the wine list is that no vintages were listed. Hopefully they will fix that in the future.
Earl’s is a chain from Canada. They have a large menu to please many palates. I will be back for some more beer though. Will craft beer so expensive in most places, $3 is a good deal and relief from shopping.
