Christmas is ushered in appropriately on Thursday, December 1st with the CMA Country Christmas special shown on ABC. Amy Grant sang tonight with her husband Vince Gill joining in to perform, "Breath of Heaven." The song was written by Amy Grant. The sounds of the song resonated well with the audience and her voice has that quality making one want to listen to more. It almost felt as if the audience was eavesdropping on a conversation between Amy and God during the chorus.
On the stage surrounded by Christmas trees and decorations, the atmosphere was warm and - well, Christmassy. Earlier Vince Gill had sang with Miss Piggy a duet ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’. Fans don't get to see Vince and Amy perform together as much as they would like, so tonight was a special treat.
