Amy Duggar receives support after '19 Kids And Counting' extortion revealed

The Duggar family has always stuck together and the fans have supported the show 19 Kids And Counting. After an Iowa woman was charged with extortion for an alleged plot to forgo sharing compromising photos of a cast member, the fans shock has warn off and support for the entire family is overwhelming. On Tuesday the fans started sharing messages on Facebook for Amy Duggar to show their support.

Amy Duggar revealed herself as the cast member in question after releasing a statement about the situation. While she denies any wrongdoing, her statement wasn’t needed as the audience of the reality show seems to believe the plot was purely extortion. Audience members who watch the show have gone online to share their kind words to Amy and provide backing. Reminding her of their support and her values, the extended family of 19 Kids And Counting really have embraced the Duggar family once again.

“Amy, I think you are awesome and a fantastic addition to the show! It’s one of my favorites. I’m sorry you have to go through this with the woman trying to blackmail you. I heard a couple of your songs, very impressive! Keep your head up, don’t let the negative people get to ya,” jotted Amanda Chavez. Chavez was one of the dozens posted about the situation.

“Why does some folks prey on a family like yours.. They must be really hurting for attention....My thoughts are with you and your wonderful family. My God be with you,” writes Jacqueline Lawrence on Amy Duggar's Facebook page

“Why would this woman want to cancel basically the only Christian reality show out there? Ridiculous and jealousy,” wrote Shonna Campo Freeland sharing her opinion.

Teresa Hunt, of Bettendorf, Iowa  is allegedly accused of threatening to release photos of a cast member in "apparently intimate situations" with an older man to a magazine for cash. According to the FBI the woman wanted $10,000 for not exposing the photographs and sent her alleged demands to the Discovery Communications, the company that works with the reality show. Hunt was arrested and is facing charges.

Bizarre extortion plots usually end up in the hands of the law, but this one is especially odd as it involves a family that doesn’t usually find so much daily publicity to be a big target. After all the Duggar family is on 19 Kids And Counting, not the reality show Jersey Shore.
