The 2013 Oscar Nominees Luncheon took place Feb. 4 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. Nominees gathered to have lunch, pose for photos, receive their official Academy Award nomination certificate, and do interviews. (The 85th annual Oscar ceremony takes place Feb. 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. ABC has the live U.S. telecast of the show at 8:30 p.m. EST/5:30 p.m. PST.) This is your fourth Oscar nomination. Is there anything new to learn this time around?
I’m always saying, “I want to have fun,” but this year, I am having fun. It’s not a matter of I want to have fun. I don’t know if I’ll be back. Go willing. We’ll see, but four times is awesome, and I really want to enjoy it. I am enjoying it. It’s not like I want to enjoy it. I’m actually experiencing it.
Can you give a tease of what you’ll be wearing at the Oscars this year?
A dress. No girl ever tells you. Has a girl ever gone up here and said, “I’m wearing this by this designer and it’ll be this color”?
What do you ultimately look for in a dress for the Oscars?
This is such a boring answer. I think it’s different every year. It depends on my mood. This year, I’m going with the idea of having fun and just sort of fulfilling a fantasy of going to the Oscars.
