Amy Adams brought her A-game on the 2013 Oscars red carpet in a stunning pale blue Oscar de la Renta. The Best Support Actress nominee for “The Master” dazzled in her princess-worthy look. The bigger, fuller look was a win-win for the stunning actress, according to a Feb. 24 Yahoo News report, which notes that the actress “proved bigger was better when it came to dresses at the Oscars last night.”
She may have lost out on her award to Anne Hathaway, but she was an Oscar best dressed winner on the red carpet. The bodice top of the dress highlighted the star’s tiny waist, while the frothy bottom half stood out in a majestic red carpet style, featuring, “layers of ruffles that tapered out into a trail behind her.”
Adams made the right choice with the soft, romantic strapless look. When one is nominated for an Oscar, that winning photo lasts a lifetime and actresses know that the dress has to make a bold, stylish statement. In this case, she did not win the award, but she nailed the dress. There is always next year. OnTheRedCarpet reports that the actress has been previously nominated for three Oscars, for roles in “Junebug,” “Doubt” and “The Fighter.”
The Academy Awards aired on Feb. 24 on ABC.
