Amtrak said at 6:15 this morning Northeast Corridor service between New York and Boston resumed on a limited schedule this morning. Service had been suspended since 5 p.m. yesterday due to the blizzard conditions, which continue to affect the entire region.
Trains to and from Florida were running more than two hours late.
Silver Meteor No. 98, which departed Jacksonville on time yesterday, was two hours and 17 minutes arriving at Penn Station, New York, today.
Today’s No. 91, the Silver Star, departed New York one hour late. If no other delays occur enroute, the train should arrive in Jacksonville at 7:55 a.m. tomorrow en route to Miami.
“Due to the residual effects of the storm, passengers should still expect delays on travel throughout the day and allow for ample time to arrive at their respective stations,” Amtrak stated.
