The third annual Key Largo Stone Crab & Seafood Festival set for this weekend, Jan. 28 and 29, is within walking distance of Amoray Dive Resort, mile marker 104 bayside. Sponsored by the Key Largo Merchant's Association, this seafood extravaganza features top area restaurants preparing succulent stone crabs, seafood, fish and much more including copious beer opens at 11 a.m. both days. Foods for landlubbers such as hamburgers also are available. Live music, arts and crafts, special attractions such as a pirate invasion and car show, face painting and bounce houses for the kids and more are to be on hand.
Visitors may want to plan their trip so they can dive or snorkel with Amoray. “What a great way to work up an appetite, or burn off some calories!” said Slate.
