Ammunae is one of four upper tier bosses in World of Warcraft's Halls of Origination dungeon. The construct of life, Ammunae is fairly undertuned on regular difficulty (Most groups probably won't even need strategy other than tank and spank), but can be an absolute nightmare ride for heroic groups going in without a strategy.
Ammunae on Normal Difficulty: Ammunae will spawn seedling pods, spores, and bloodpetal blossoms, but these are hardly dangerous on normal difficulty. Depending on your group composition you may find it necessary to have one of the DPS dedicate themselves to slaughtering the flora and fauna.
Ammunae on Heroic Difficulty: Seedling pods will have to be focused down and DPS'ed immediately upon spawning or you will find your group unable to even put a dent through Ammunae's life regeneration. Bloodpetal blossoms should also be taken care of as soon as possible to avoid them running off and killing your healer and ranged DPS.
One strategy is to simply use a dedicated range DPS in charge of doing nothing but plant smashing during the encounter, but this can run into trouble - Ammunae has a binding life choke ability that will paralyze a random group member, and if that happens to be your key DPS you'll find stacking seedling pods can heal Ammunae back up to full health in a hurry.
It's a better idea to instruct all your DPS to prioritize pods before even thinking of touching Ammunae. Look for the seed pod icon on Ammunaes buff bar and slam tab or make a target macro to ensure they are eliminated quickly and efficiently.
Ammunae encounters can get entangled in the mechanics - make sure to plant strategy seeds to make your Halls of Origination run as smooth as possible.
