The show "Amish Mafia" keeps doing a great job of proving that it is fake. On Jan. 3, news came out about how they messed up the name of the police department and just showing in one more way that what they say is not the truth. According to News 21, the local police department is speaking out about their mistake.
On a recent episode of the show, they talked about dealing with the Lancaster County Police. This police department doesn't exist at all. The one that actually takes care of the area is called the Lancaster City Police. They went to Facebook to clarify saying: "NAME CLARIFICATION: We are the Lancaster City Police Department. We have been serving Lancaster City for well over 200 years. If you are looking for the Lancaster County Police Department, as depicted on a fictional cable TV show, you may want to look elsewhere."
The show "Amish Mafia" tries to say it is a reality show, but several things have made fans realize it isn't true at all. A store owner spoke out recently saying that they aren't really protected by Lebanon Levi even though he says on the show that he protects them.
TLC tried to keep people quiet about "Breaking Amish" being fake. You can here about it here. It will be interesting to see if Discovery does the same thing with "Amish Mafia."
