Amir Khan is willing to get battered by either Mayweather or Pacquiao

Mediocre pugilist Amir Khan told the UK’s Daily Mail on Monday that he is ready to throw fists with boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Numerous media outlets have reported that Khan (28-3, 19 KOs) will face the 36-year-old Mayweather (45-0, 26 KOs) on May 3.

However, Mayweather is now apparently considering Marcos Maidana as an opponent.

Khan survived against the 30-year-old Maidana (35-3, 31 KOs) in December 2010.

“I am the one who signed the contract. I’ve signed my part of the contract. They have not,” said Khan, 26, who most recently exited the squared circle in April after outscoring Mexican Julio Diaz. “If (Floyd) wants to fight Amir Khan, then he should sign it. If he wants to face someone I’ve beaten (Maidana), then so be it.”

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs) earned a lopsided unanimous decision over Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios to capture the WBO international welterweight belt on November 24.

Displaying elite footwork and the uncanny ability to deliver punches from all angles, Pacquiao peppered the 27-year-old Rios (31-2-1, 23 KOs) with brilliant combinations that left “Bam Bam” bruised, cut and swollen.

Although a bit more cautious and reserved, Pacquiao remains an overwhelming pugilistic force.

Pacquiao is tentatively slated to scrap on April 12 against an unnamed opponent at a venue to be determined in the United States.

“I’d fight Manny,” said Khan, who was lucky to escape without losing to the 33-year-old Diaz (40-9-1, 29 KOs). “Look, it is business. We are friends and respect each other. But, I would definitely consider the fight, and I am sure he would too.”

Pacquiao was named the “Fighter of the Decade” for the 2000s and Mayweather is one of the premier prizefighters in history.

In stark contrast to Pacquiao and Mayweather, “King Khan” is simply an overrated chandelier.

Without much drama, Amir Khan would get utterly embarrassed by either Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao.
