The Allen Americans are going into their third game in a row against the Laredo Bucks at the Allen Event Center on Friday Night January 6th.
The last three games have been very physical. There have been a total of 182 minutes in penalties, and 96 of those were fighting, roughing, game misconducts, and unsportsmanlike conduct minutes.
The Bucks have had success with their defensive goalie Ryan Rondeau tending the net for the Bucks. He has only giving up seven goals and has managed two wins in three games in December of 2011 against the Americans.
The Bucks offense has had efforts from Matt Pierce who scored the two goals on New Years Eve, and Mark Nebus who scored two goals the night before that. Rusty Matthew has chipped in two goals and four assists in the last three games against the Americans.

American stars to keep your eye out for are:
All-Star Bruce Graham who has scored 16 goals and 24 assists for total of 40 points.
Jason Deitsch who has seven goals and 24 assists for 34 points.
Colton Yellow Horn who has 24 goals and 17 assists for 31 points
Expect to see Marco Cousineau tending the nets for the Americans tonight. Cousineau has 11 wins under his belt this season in 16 games. That is good enough to be ranked in the CHL 5th in goalkeeping.
Expect another rough and tumble game Friday night, and then again on Saturday and Sunday as the Americans hop a bus and head to Laredo for a two game skid against these same Bucks. It will be five games in the past two weeks they will face each other.
These two teams may be real sick of seeing each other, but it will be a roller coaster ride going into tonight’s Friday’s game.
Make sure if you can’t make the game you listen to the best play-by-play man in the CHL—Tommy Daniels. You can hear the games over the internet on the Americans website , and you can cheer them on the road Saturday and Sunday in Laredo.
The next time we will see the Americans at home will be January 16 against Tulsa.

Other Americans news according to the Allen Americans website defensive-man Mike Berube has been called up to the Texas Stars—the Dallas Stars other affiliated team.
Berube has provided a lot of excitement for the Allen Americans with his physical play and two goals and seven assists in 29 games.
Also even more sad news, at least to this Examiner, Lachlan MacIntosh has retired. This is effective immediately. According to Tommy Daniels the voice of the Allen Americans, personal reasons was the reason given. I personally wish him good luck in his future endeavors. He was a hard nosed hard playing winger, and it is sad to see him go.
MacIntosh was acquired from the Missouri Mavericks for goalie Brian Mahoney-Wilson, and defense-man Steve Kaunisto in December. He played in 297 games and scored 277 goals, and also acquired 164 assists and 324 points in his career with various associations of hockey.
