Facebook is a multiple purpose website that draws people together with common interest and friendship.

“Facebook has always been about helping people make connections. We started with helping people connect with their friends, and over time we expanded this model to mirror more of the connections you make in your life—including organizations and interests that may not be people. We developed Pages, for example, so you could connect to your favorite celebrities, musicians and businesses on Facebook. All of these say something about who you are and the things you care about.” Source: Facebook

This site has become almost as addictive as a drug substance . For many, the first thing they do in the morning is to check their Facebook page; and again the last thing they do before going to bed at night.

Your Facebook pages are what you make them. Your page will determine who you choose and accept as a “friend.” It was once said that a true friend is someone who knows all about you; yet loves you anyway.

Well, with the advent of Facebook, people have become so open (in so many ways) that now the whole world knows about them.

Facebook is primarily about folks keeping in touch with each other by sharing photos, birthday wishes, and life’s experiences with people they know and love. It has made the miles apart not seem so far away. It has re-united old school chums, long lost friends and family. Facebook can be charming, fun, and educational. But as we have seen in the news, this site can be dangerous if misused.

Facebook is what you make of it and parents should be aware of what their children are posting. Each child who is on Facebook should have as their number one “friend” - their parents.

Facebook is truly a place where you can quickly and easily see what is on the hearts and minds of its members – be it joy, disappointment, politics, or just keeping up with the grandkids.

Facebook pages fall into many different categories. Some are special sites for specific reasons like the cancer page for those who are dealing with that disease, as well as many others.

Some pages are spiritual in nature where people can come together to share their prayer requests and to encourage one another.

Many on Facebook have deep concerns about their nation, their schools, their families and the many things that affect them.

“United We Stand – Divide We Fall,” is a unique page where people are asked to come together to seek solutions and a way to make life in America… better.

Today, March 7, 2014, the administrator is announcing open enrollment for those who wish to join this group.

This group is for those who are of like mind and who are serious about restoring America; and uniting the country.

It is not a place for people to be nasty, share vulgar jokes, bash people in politics, or in anyway be disrespectful towards others.

Presently, there are 760 members on this site. As the new election year of 2014 surfaces, there will be more and more activity on the page. Everyone regardless of race, creed, religion, or political ideology is invited to participate; but there are ground rules.

We must remember that if we don’t stand for something, we will fall for anything!

We need to clarify what we stand for and to seek solutions to matters of injustices such as any form of violence, child abuse, sex trafficking, domestic abuse, abuse of power in government, abuse of those in elected offices, crime, hunger, poverty, discrimination, public school issues, educational opportunities, unemployment, fleecing the taxpayers, as well as First and Second Amendment rights; knowing that the only solution is turning this nation back to God.

We, the people, need to hold elected officials accountable for their abuse of power and overriding and discarding the Constitution. We need to halt the rise of global involvement in other countries; and halt the desire of some here in America who want this country to become like other nations.

We are not like other nations! For several centuries, the world looked to America as the model nation. However, this has been declining in recent decades. We are not to conform to this world but be transformed by righteousness and by looking to the author and finisher of our faith – Holy God.

The rules and requirements of membership for “United We Stand – Divided We Fall” (which are posted on the page) are as follows:

“This site is not a chat line for griping and posting vile or nasty remarks about those to whom we disagree. Bad language will not be tolerated. In appropriate cartoons and other posts will not be tolerated. Please read the purpose of this site. If you don't agree, please delete us from your list. If you misuse your membership, you will be deleted.

This is a site for people of like mind who believe that our country is being stolen right out from under our children and the only way to combat it is to be united as One Nation - Under God.

“Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have.” Ronald Reagan

“Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in our bosoms. Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands, everywhere.” Abraham Lincoln

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” 1 John 4:4-6

This is an open group to all those who qualify and who wish to abide by the rules.

When the administrator of this site receives a request from someone to join the group, the Facebook page of the one wishing to join is looked at to determine if that person is truly interested in the goals and purpose of the site. On Facebook, there is always the right of refusal.

This page has a strong Christian base and other religions are invited as long as the purpose is to unite and not divide. While there are many different positions on just about everything, (and just about everyone has strong opinions about everything), this site is not a chat room for venting; but a site for sharing posts, ideas, and hopefully solutions to problems that keep our nation divided.

From time to time, this page offers a nationwide prayer session asking that people all across the nation come together in unity and prayer for the many challenges that are faced in our nation daily.

There are many aspects to this page and it can be used in many ways to help in various situations. This page is often used to notify the public when there is a missing child, injustices against children and adults.

This is not a page for posting responses from people about rescue animals, sales, promotions, or other types of solicitation. It is about defining problematic situations and offering solutions.

We need to help make America stand out once again in the darkness of the world; as the photo above indicates. We need once again to be the shining light on the hill.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. “ 2 Chronicles 7:14

If you are interested in becoming part of the solution and not adding to the problems, you may join at “United We Stand – Divided We Fall.”
