Americans listening to gut feelings rather than Obama orations?

If you are one of those Americans with a gut feeling that America is in deep doo-doo and the only ones benefiting are those sitting pretty in Washington, D.C., join the crowd. Some of them will be gathering in Washington as well in cities and towns across America on April 15, 2010.

No matter what diversionary tactics used by the Obama administration, anyone with their eyes open can see all the empty storefronts on almost every commercial street in America.  Whole neighborhoods are filled with decaying houses that owners vacated in the middle of the night because the mortgage was higher than the worth of the property. Food banks and charities can't keep up with the increasing number of people seeking whatever they can find to feed their families. The latest figure is that there are 40 million Americans on food stamps.

It should be no surprise to find that Obama's approval rating is between 43 and 46 percent in most polls. That is down from 67 percent when he was elected. Does this mean that all the conferences, speeches, and activities to divert attention from the realities that Americans see every day is not working?

You betcha!  The economic sands in America are shifting in the wrong direction. The game of setting expectations low isn't working anymore than it did last year when voters were promised that if the Stiumulus was passed, unemployment would not go over 8.8%.  Even the 9.7% now being declared conflicts with that in Detroit which is said to be somewhere between 20 and 30 percent.

The Obama answer is to figure out how to defame and defeat the TEA party because these are the folks that are responding to the gut feeling that is becoming part of the American psyche: disillusionment with Obama and his economic efforts to transform American into a country resembling the failed countries in Europe.

intelligent people use logic and not "gut feelings"..."gut feelings" are what animals use in place of logic.

why would people move in the middle of the night? 40 million people on food stamps - now there's an example of govt. indifference - can the food pantries pick up that slack. Re-inventing the wheel is time consuming and expensive. Can we not, at least, try to work together with what we've got and stop throwing the baby out with the bath water.

you had the article correct until "Obama answer is to figure out how to defame and defeat the TEA party because these are the folks that are responding to the gut feeling that is becoming part of the American psyche"

OBama needs to check his constitution if he wants any blame or recourse for his actions. Obama has divided this country plenty. yes he IS dividing this county so don't be fooled. the tea party types are the people who are bringing awareness to the constitution. if you have a problem with that, then go live in kenya where your leader is from.

Intelligent people read the Health care bill and found out the plan is to strip you of all privacy. Anyone dumb enough to think this health care bill is good for the country should go back to school and learn to read. Liberals go on feel good emotional lies where the Tea party have read the Health care bill and knows it makes Nazi Germany look good. Maybe the Dummycroocks should try reading the Constitution.

Walrus says: "intelligent people use logic and not "gut feelings"..."gut feelings" are what animals use in place of logic."

I gather you are just trying to be cute and condescending, but you are also negating a valid source of data.

The "gut feeling" is actually a reliable cue that can not only provide accurate insights, but can also reveal truth that is obscured by misinterpretations and confusion of the intellect.

Among the more famous "gut fellings" is love, inspiration, revelation, epiphany and mundane cues like knowing that you should do something or not do something with neither the information or cognition to deduce a suitable action when the time for fact-finding and deliberation is unsuitable.

i think you know this. I have yet to meet a person who has not arrived at the correct answer to a problem or the inkling to do something with no rational explanation why.

You can trust your gut. I actually teach people how to improve their "kinesthetic awareness."
