Americans against the Tea Party

When the grassroots Tea Party has their own hate group, you have to wonder why, especially when the Tea Party has had approximately 44% of American’s sympathy and/or support.

Contrary to what many people believe, The Tea Party is not an actual “party” but rather, locally run, grass roots organizations. Some have tax exempt status, but many are still in a holding pattern with the IRS. Tea Party groups that are tax exempt are not allowed to endorse candidates. The media makes a big deal about politicians being supported by the Tea Party, but that’s also a false narrative.

Where the media has exploited the Tea Party with their own labels (racist, crazy, delusional), obviously there are people who believe it. Want to see the proof of actual Tea Party meetings where these things are legitimate? It’s not there, except on left wing sites such as this one which exist just to put down Americans who stand for their values and feel the country is moving in the wrong direction.

The website AATTP (Americans Against the Tea Party) is pretty extreme, cherry picking quotes from Republicans and conservatives and using them in cartoons, articles, and to generate a divide and hatred. Almost all the titles of articles and video clips include derogatory name calling.

All you have to do is look at the AATTP mission statement to see that they are not about dialog, but rather, the hatred of ideas they believe the Tea Party espouses:

AATTP (Americans Against The Tea Party) Mission

The hatred, division, virulent, unpredictable anger, violent threats and posturing by the Tea-Baggers present a real danger to the lives of President Obama, his family, his administration, Congressional Democrats and liberals and progressives of all stripes. Americans Against The Tea Party is a group committed to exposing the Tea Party’s lies, violence, racism, ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, and corporatist-fascist efforts to subvert our democratic process – and organizing together to defeat Tea Party/GOP candidates on the ballot everywhere. We support the Occupy movement. WE ARE THE 99%. WE ARE AATTP!

The Tea Party has three main platforms:

  • A Constitutionally limited government, with an emphasis on personal freedom and rights.
  • Free market economics and the economic freedom to grow jobs
  • Fiscal responsibility and a debt free future of the United States of America.

Do supporters of the AATTP site know what they are against? Because if they are against the Tea Party, they must be against the constitution of the United States, lower taxes, and a smaller government. That’s all. Just the mission statement of the AATTP proves they are far more radical than any Tea Party group out there.

If you support the Tea Party, check out the AATTP site and see what you are up against. When one group is targeted by another, especially with a false narrative, it’s dangerous. Make a difference in November. Get out and vote for your values.
