See also

In celebration of National Iced Tea Month, David Barenholtz, CEO of American Tea Room in Beverly Hills, has created six signature iced teas, both caffeinated and noncaffeinated. Each tea is blended with seasonal ingredients to enhance the flavors found in American Tea Room teas.

During National Iced Tea Month, those visiting the American Tea Room will have a chance to taste these innovatine blended tea drinks for free. Each Saturday in June, American Tea Room will present free samples of one or two of these new drinks from 1-4 p.m. No purchase is necessary.

However tea lovers will want to spend time exploring the tea room itself and discovering some of the finest teas available in the U.S. Leaving there without buying something might be difficult considering their enormous supply of teas and tea ware.

Schedule of blended teas to be sampled

June 7:
4 Green Matcha Blaster.
Be prepared for a large kick of caffeine combined with antioxidants. American Tea Room combines fresh avocado, mint, non-fat Greek yogurt, cucumber and ice with their freshly ground matcha to create an ice-blended energry drink with two times the caffeine of espresso and 20 times the antioxidants of a cup of blueberries
Sweet Lullaby
The opposite of 4 Geen Matcha Blaster, this drink contains American Tea Room's French Lavender Tea and Chamomile iced, chilled, and blended with a small amount of local wild honey. This noncaffeinated drink will calm and relax and might even help with allergies.

June 14
Nirvana BFF (Berry Fig Freeze)
Strawberries, blackberries, green figs and honey are blelnded with American Tea Room's extremely popular Nirvana Green tea. This fruity drink is only lightly caffeinated and may be served as a summer mocktail
Chai Horchata
Combining two cultures, the spicy chai of India and the ground almond and cinnamon horchata of Mexico, American Tea Room blends its Spicy Organic Masala Chai with almond butter, half and half, cinnamon and vanilla. Creamy and spicy, this drink is moderately caffeinated.

June 21
Coconut Breeze
Here is an interesting twist. American Tea Room's So Coconut Organic Black Tea is cold steeped, but not in spring water or fitered water, but coconut water. This creates the tea base for a shaken ice-blended tea that also contains honey, coconut milk, and a squeeze of lime. This drink is only lightly caffeinated. Flavors remind on of the drinks served in tropic vacation spots.

Frozen Banana Choco*Latte
American Tea Room's famous Choco*Latte is blended with banana, half and half, chocolate powde, sunflower butter and ice. Sounds decadently delicious.
Barenholtz has gathered these fine teas during his travels to more than 60 countries. American Tea Room also debuted a unique method of brewing tea, the only BKON Craft Brewer in California. This lastest method in steeping works through the use of reverse atmospheric infusion and brews a perfect pot of tea in less 60 seconds.

Ameican Tea Room is located at 401 N.Canon Dr., Beverly Hills, California, 90210, phone (310)271-7922. The tea room is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
