The Federal Government’s all-time low approval rating stems from their removing the American dream, civil rights, instilling fear and disgust prompting thousands of citizens into leaving the country. It’s not apathy; it’s absolutely no hope of the government being returned to the people, not enough common sense to pass a budget that’s driving them to move to better countries. The elite one percent is dictating, taking more power by the day creating a dictatorship.
To end the shutdown the Senate used H.R. 2775 as a “vehicle” for passage, meaning the Senate took an already-passed unrelated House bill, replaced its text, and sent the revised bill back to the House for a final vote. Congress is grossly overpaid ($4,054,997.95 for 16 days) for this sad, substandard kind of work.
Because Congress is overpaid, they have no problem giving your money away. They are giving $1.6 billion in military aid to Pakistan, the country that imprisoned and sentenced the Doctor that lead the U.S. to Osama bin Laden to 33 years who was finally released the end of August. Why, when America is on the brink of bankruptcy?
We need massive change, downsizing of the federal government. It can’t happen all at once but we need to see immediate cuts, cuts with regard to members of Congress salary and benefits and an end to subsidies that also contribute to our debt. There is no excuse to not produce a budget.
