Tom Brokaw once said, "If fishing is like religion, then fly-fishing is high church."
So it is with the members of the board of trustees of The American Museum of Fly Fishing whose mission statement is, "The American Museum of Fly Fishing is the steward of the history, traditions and practices of the sport of fly fishing and promotes the conservation of its waters. The Museum collects, preserves, exhibits, studies and interprets the artifacts, art and literature of the sport and uses these resources to engage, educate and benefit all!"
So that on September 18, 2013, The American Museum of Fly Fishing (www.amff.com) will be having its 2013 Heritage Award Event honoring Leon L. Martuch, a legend in the sport of fly fishing. This award event will be held at The Racquet and Tennis Club, 370 Park Avenue at East 52nd Street, New York, New York. The event begins at 5:30 with a private cocktail party and private auction, dinner will be held at 7:00 along with a live auction and at 7:45 their prestigious award presentation will then take place.
