New York based singer-songwriter and musician, Jillette Johnson will hit the Brighton Music Hall stage on Wednesday, January 9. Jillette is appearing in Boston in honor of her newly released debut CD with Wind Up Records, ‘Whiskey and Frosting.’ With her distinctly sweet and soaring vocals, Jillette opens a window into her soul through stirring lyrics especially displayed in what she calls her greatest single to date, ‘When the Ship Goes Down.’ Her sound is reminiscent of vocal giants Florence Welch, Tori Amos and Fiona Apple.
