Now that the national shocker of the American Idol finale is over and Kris is through apologizing for winning, we're starting to find out more about both finalists.
To begin with, the speculation is true about what Adam said to Kris after the big reveal that cracked Kris up. He was kidding Kris that since he was the winner, he had to sing Kara's awful "No Boundaries" song again.
Seriously, Idol? You had a year to come up with a song, and that was the best tune you could concoct? When I saw Adam sing it Tuesday night, I thought "Uh-oh. That's not a good song for Adam." Then when I heard Kris's version, I thought "Uh-oh. That's not a good song for anyone." That song sounded like something pieced together from Diane Warren's stool.
Also, it seems Pink wasn't as jazzed about her "So What" song being performed on the show. Thanks to Twitter, we don't even have to send an E! camera crew to her house to get her reaction.
Post-Idol, we're beginning to see more of the career of Adam Lambert. During Idol, we were limited to what we saw on television but now more videos from Adam's past are starting to see the light of day. Here's a young Adam Lambert performing "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" at a high school graduation in 2000.
Adam also has been a fixture on the cabaret scene, it seems, here's him doing Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy."
Here's another cabaret performance from Adam, this one of a song that's become unintentionally hilarious, "Dust In The Wind."
It's pretty clear that Adam's onstage persona and stage presence have been with him since the womb.

Hey Reid, these videos of Adam have been on Utube for at least the last 3 months - there are also other wonderful ones of Adam singing at the late Israeli primeminister Rabin's memorial. In some of them he sings in Jewish which begs the question? If so, then he surely is one incredibly talented unique soul.

I guess you are a little late to the Adam-fest. These videos have been out forever. The better (or at least more fun) "Crazy" performance is from Art4Life with a great crew of back-up dancers.
Adam's got it all. I'm really going to miss my weekly dose and will be waiting with bated breath for his album and solo tour.
Adam your an amazing performer and NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise... We all know YOU should have won but then again we all know WHY you did not but WHO CARES, your amazing and thats something NO ONE can take away from you!!!!

I appreciate the comments everybody. I'll also miss Adam showing up every week, for the first time in quite a while, Idol had an element of danger and mystery to it. Love him or hate him, he made it exciting.

Adam, seriously dude you are like AMAZING. You just have a raw natural talent that gives me GOOSEYBUMPS!!!! Not many people can sing like that. especially men. It doesn't even matter that you didn't win, because with that voice you will be (really you already are) ICONIC. I will be the first in line for your CD! yes, the you tube vids have been out forever, but getting adam's talent out there to everyone is very important, so continue to talk about him to everyone you can and open up the floodgates of adamania!

The true winner won. We'll see where Adam is in 20 years with the Shock Rocker vibe, and where Kris is with the ability to connect to an audience and his other talents in both piano and guitar. Where is Gene Simmons other than on the nostalgia tour, and where is Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Santana?
I rest my case. Adam is a flash in the pan, and will be playing golf with Alice Cooper in a few years, most likely - waiting for the nostalgia tours.
I was excited about David Cook last year, but I've never been as excited about a singer/performer before in my whole life as I have with Adam Lambert. I had already purchased my idol tickets before the finale, but I hope Adam gets as many songs as Kris will during the show. The public will definitely want to see that!

This young man is extremely talented, and we can only pray that others notice it as well. He deserves to have a future in the music industry and it would definitely be our loss if he doesn't succeed. I have never watched American Idol before this contest, but i continued to watch because i couldn't wait to hear him sing.
