American Idol: The ladies try to reach the top 12

Last night on Fox’s American Idol, the ladies had the chance to prove whether or not they deserved a spot on the top 12. Most of the performances were lackluster at best. However, there were a few that did stand out.

The judges were sugar coating it a bit, when stating that, contestants Katie Stevens, Paige Miles and Katelyn Epperly should be nervous about making it into the top 12. Frankly, they should be downright worried as their performances for the night caused many people to leave the room. This is disheartening because we all know they are better that the last performance that they gave.

The top performers without a doubt were Crystal Bowersox, Siobhan Magnus, and Lacey Brown, all three, giving the audience a glimpse into their true sound.

The best performance by a mile was Crystal Bowersox. Her rendition of Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason” dominated the entire night. Well Done Crystal!

Simon Cowell abviously agrees when he claimed Crystal Bowersox was the contestant to beat.

The eight male semifinalists will perform tonight Wednesday, March 10, 2010, and the top 12 will then be announced on Thursday.

I agree with your comments about last night. Most were blah and very disappointing. We have a stand out with Crystal and that's about it.
