'American Idol' takes on Beatles songs again with predictable results

Wednesday night's edition of "American Idol" featured covers of Beatles songs that would make you cringe for the second week in a row. 

James Durbin sang an extremely weak version of "Maybe I'm Amazed," while Casey Abrams made an attempt at "With a Little Help From My Friends" (see video at left) that was based more on Joe Cocker than Ringo Starr. We'll give Abrams a C for effort.
 
Neither, like any other AI version of a Beatle tune, will make anyone forget the originals.
