'American Idol:' Simon Cowell introduces fiancee, supports Crystal Bowersox (video)

"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell made an appearance on Monday night's episode of "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," and suffice it to say the results were more than memorable. Not only did we get an opportunity to see a more human side to the popular judge, but we also (briefly) had the chance to meet fiancee Mezghan Hussainy.

The make-up artist came on stage after being prompted by the crowd, and then after a kiss and a few words she was off again. That much interaction along was a surprise for Cowell, who is notorious for staying quiet on his private life.

After that moment, Jay managed to still press Simon on a number of issues, from his favorite on "Idol" (Crystal Bowersox) to whether or not he plans on having children (he figures himself to be old, but the idea of more "Simons" is tempting).

This may be Leno's best interview since his return to "Tonight" -- both him and Cowell felt relaxed, and there never really was a sense of desperation to either be funny or to promote some additional property floating out there in space.

What did you think about Simon Cowell on "Leno?" Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest TV news.
