'American Idol' scandal: Matt Farmer lied about being a war hero (Video)

This year on "American Idol" fans have seen a lot of contestants they love. Matt Farmer won the hearts of many when he came out on stage with his little girl and his story of being a war hero. On Feb. 1, Yahoo reported that his story isn't true at all.

Matt said that he was blown up by an IED and was sent home for it. This might remind you of the story of Tim Poe on "America's Got Talent." His story ended up all being a lie and now fans are finding out that Matt Farmer lied too!

He also said that the medicine he took was supposed to make him sterile and it was shocking he could even have his daughter. Several soldiers were quoted saying that he was not telling the truth and that they served with him and now. They are mad he would lie about it all.

The truth is that Matt was taking a drug for acne that he wasn't supposed to even have and that is why he was almost sterile. He was sent home for a totally different reason and one soldier says it is because he tried to kill himself. Matt finally did admit that he was lying all along.

Matt did reveal that he was already sent home from the show. It is unknown if they disqualified him or if he was just sent home. Are you shocked by all of his lies?
