"American Idol" took the show to the big stage on Tuesday night -- and the results were mixed, to say the least. While some of the performers came out and delivered in a big way, we had a few who fell flat. Altogether, though, Rolling Stones night turned out to be a surprisingly strong two hours highlighted by Siobhan Magnus totally knocking one out of the theater and into the stratosphere.
Michael Lynche: Big Mike had the unfortunate honor of starting the show this week, which means he is going to have a difficult time of getting people to remember him. That said, he totally rocked the house with "Miss You." He wasn't as phenomenal as he was with Maxwell last week, but he got the show rolling.
Didi Benami: Didi gave what was easily her best performance in weeks this episode, but in looking back over the course of the episode her take on "Playing With Fire" just didn't have it all together.
Casey James: I think Casey's in serious trouble tonight. It's not that I actually thought his performance was bad by any means, but I'm really not getting enough of a personality off of him. Being generic on stage will only get you so far in this competition, and the last big move Casey did during a performance was take his shirt off.
Katie Stevens: I like how Simon Cowell took a moment here to promote himself as remaking "Wild Horses" with Susan Boyle. We all already know that, Simon! Anyway, Katie gave a decent version of the song -- the definitive one in my book is still by Mazzy Star (and yes, Lilly Scott should've stayed over her).
Andrew Garcia: Finally, Andrew brought back some of the joy! Not all of the judges loved his take on "Gimme Shelter," but I would say he was halfway there to getting back to where he was during Hollywood Week. He's probably done enough to stick around to get another chance.
Lacey Brown: Once again, Lacey was okay with "Ruby Tuesday." It was one of those performances that worked all right when she performed it, but I'm already starting to forget about it now.
Tim Urban: Tim is the darkhorse of the competition, meaning that he could win simply because people think he's cute. His take on "Under My Thumb" was, like Ellen DeGeneres said, a cheesy beach number.
Lee Dewyze: I agree with the judges on this one: Lee is a great singer, but he's not doing anything in the competition so far to stand out from the crowd. "Beast of Burden" was great, but will anyone remember he sang it?
Siobhan Magnus: Siobhan was golden with her take of "Paint It Black," and may have given the best performance of any singer this season. Her take was haunting, powerful, and (shocker!) I actually preferred it to the Stones.
Paige Miles: I'll be frank in that I didn't think Paige should have stuck around this week -- but she proved me wrong! I thought Paige had the biggest improvement this week as she really sold her performance. Like Randy, I couldn't even tell she was suffering from laryngitis.
Aaron Kelly: Aaron, you made it: you got a "this is hot" from Randy Jackson. I didn't expect Aaron to deliver a Rolling Stones song, but his take on "Angie" was the second-best of the next behind Siobhan.
Crystal Bowersox: That's right -- this week Aaron was better than Crystal. That's not to say that Mama Bowersox was bad -- she picked a great song in "You Can't Always Get What You Want," but it never took off and it felt like she was going through the motions. That said, a so-so Crystal performance is still better than most of everyone else.

Comments
It's really odd how fans are reacting on the forums. Right now it seems like people who really love Siobhan and who also think she will win it all tend to think Tim Urban is really horrid and tone deaf, yet if you loot at the comments from those who think Tim Urban will win, they tend to think that Siobhan is the worst say she has an Lambert-esque over dramatization. While Crystal and Lee are still people who will probably stay in the top spots, the main battle that seems to be dividing viewers is Team Siobhan vs Team Urban. I think Siobhan Magnus is an awesome talent! Her performance of Paint It Black was amazing! I loved her look...especially the necklace she was wearing. I'm wondering where we can get our hands on one!
Siobhan was terrible. The screeching was ridiculous. I couldn't stop laughing. I normally like her, but this week she was a joke.
I think Didi did an amazing job, and Casey too. The rest sucked, as usual.
And Mazzy Star never covered "Wild Horses". You're thinking of The Sundays.
I see someone already busted you on the Mazzy Star thing. Try doing a little research. Also, A Woman's Work is a Kate Bush song that Maxwell covered.
I watched the show because I am a Stones fan and I was horribly disappointed. These contestants are beyond lame and not one of them was able to capture the dirty, rocking swagger of Mick and Keith. Boring. The chick that did Paint It Black is cute, but Holy Lord! that was just God awful! Even David Cook who is, by far, the most talented Idol contestant ever, was just awful. If I watch anymore Idol this year it will only be for laughs. Oh yeah, and Kara Dioguardi is an idiot.
