Lacey Brown became the first "American Idol" season nine Top 12 finalist to be eliminated on Wednesday's results show.
Relive the Top 12 performances: Top 6 girls perform, Top 6 boys perform
The 24-year-old from Amarillo, Texas tried to redeem herself and earn the judges' only save card by singing Belinda Carlisle's "The Story," but the judges weren't convinced she was right for their ninth "Idol" title and agreed with America that it was time for Lacey to leave the competition.
It was no surprise that the judges chose not to save Lacey. While they have enjoyed a few of her past performances, Simon, Randy, Kara and Ellen were not overly thrilled with her first finalist week performance, "Ruby Tuesday" by The Rolling Stones. Simon felt Lacey was over thinking the performance and Ellen found her performance sleepy.

Next week, the contestants will fight for a spot in the Top 10, and Tim Urban and Paige Miles will need to be on their toes more than anyone because they were the two other members of this week's bottom three.
